Teys Processing Plants Teys Beenleigh
Teys Beenleigh is located halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and is also the location of the group head office.
The plant operates a two-shift kill and bone for a daily capacity of 1428 head with approximately 800 employees. It operates with the latest technological improvements.
It is the main location for processing of its grainfed cattle from its own feedlot at Condamine. Teys RockhamptonTeys Rockhampton joined the Teys Group as a result of the merger with Consolidated Meat Group.
The key employer in the local community, Teys Rockhampton has a slaughtering capacity of 1731 head per day and remains Australia’s largest single shift slaughter.
It currently employs 900 people and is the city’s largest single employer. Teys BiloelaTeys purchased the Biloela plant in 1984. Located south west of Rockhampton in central Queensland, the cattle are sourced within a 150km radius of the plant from fertile local pastures producing consistent, well-finished, grass fed cattle ideal for the chilled export market.
The plant has a daily capacity of 703 head with approximately 400 employees. Teys Naracoorte
Teys Naracoorte is located in the centre of the Coonawarra and Pathaway wine districts in South Australia. This area provides excellent growth conditions for Teys Black Angus and British beef cattle, producing some of Australia’s most consistent quality beef.
The plant currently kills up to 550 head per day and employs 300 people, making it the Naracoorte’s largest employer. Teys Innisfail
Teys Innisfail is a niche operation located in the tropical hills at the bottom of the Atherton Tableland. It primarily services North Queensland dairy and beef cattle producers.
Located on the outskirts of Innisfail, the plant has previously employed over 200 people and processed 600 cattle per day on a single shift basis. The plant is currently not in operation but may resume processing subject to labour and cattle supply conditions. Teys Katherine
Katherine is located 314km south of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia that is renowned beef country.
Purchased by the Teys Group as a result of the merger with previous owners Consolidated Meat Group, the plant is a seasonal operation, designed to process any overflow from the Northern Australian live export trade. The plant is currently not in operation but may resume processing subject to climatic and market conditions. |
